A month-exactly one!!

Ahhh..i know one is supposed to write and update the blog daily or weekly or regularly for that matter, but i am just tooooo lazy(unapologetically) to do that. i was sorta forced by my sister who is an active blogger to start blogging and i must admit i was very fascinated by the whole blogging thing looking at her blog too and i sort of over estimated my potential to maintain one myself! but nevertheless, today again after exactly 30 days i am back and this time also, like always, i have been forced to write by my sister, though she didn't directly force me but she wrote about us on her blog and so i wanted to write too:-)

hmm..well in the last few days alot has happened in India and in my life too.i have been quite sad, depressed and anguished about all thats been happening and all that we know is going to happen as far the attacks in mumbai are concerned(things just seem so predictable..its a dead end out there).I've been watching news endlessly..i haven't watched a news channel for a longer duration than i did this time..the 62 hour ordeal followed by all the arguments and debates, politicians being bashed, people criticising those who play the blame game without realising thats exactly what each one of us are doing as well, candlelight vigils being carried out all over the country,Pakistan's 'reassurances' to take action, the Indian media playing investigators(and doing a decent job at it),the Pakistani media blaming India for fabricating the whole 'event' and getting it all wrong unlike America, pictures of the terrorists being flashed on news channels and in newspapers, blah blah blah...feeling bad about the people who were caught in there, those who didn't return and those who will have to live with the trauma of being in there forever, celebrating the victory(am not sure if we can call it that) of the very famous(and deservingly so)NSG commandos, feeling bad, yet proud of Ratan Tata for forming a wonderful team of employees at Taj,feeling miserable for baby Moshe(nd i still feel equally bad, rather worse for him now)feeling sorry for Ajmal Amir Kasab and his accomplices(they were my age and just misled),feeling helpless and irritated. But it was during, rather soon after this ,that i cast my first vote and i don't know how its going to sound but this attack on mumbai made it even more special for me..i felt there was something i could do..i felt like a true citizen of my nation and believe me i have never ever experienced that before. it was unforgettable and rightly so coz i voted for the winning party..rather the party i voted for won!!:-).

Amidst all this i managed to celebrate too...my aunt's retirement(the food was amazing),the whole family getting together and finally all of us getting a decent family photograph clicked(we look like monsters in the previous one),a trip to Amritsar(amazing food again), celebrating my cousin's 21'st birthday which is on the 24 Dec(we tend to celebrate whenever we feel like..true punjabis after all..punjabi by nature),of course being overly demanding with my sister, finally watching Rab Ne Banadi Jodi and loving it and planning to watch it again real soon, contracting fever from my sister:-(having food poisoning, missing a wedding which supposedly had very good food and goood punjabi music and well am still recovering both from my fever and the trauma of starting a blog and not updating it!!:-)

Well now that you have finally managed to write your second post, I must say Good Job!!
I'd just like to say that the media really hasn't done a great job, not even the job that is expected out of it as the fourth pillar of Indian democracy. They have made a spectacle out of the attacks to raise their TRPs.
Secondly, NSG commandoes are not really that famous :)
Lastly, break the text into paragraphs. It is easier on the eye. (Can't give up my elser sister role u see :))
Anyhow, good job done!!

well thank you..i am quite surprised myself that i managed to write another one but i owe to you..after reading so much about myself..that too coming from you,i just couldn't not write;)

oh nd as far the Nsg commandos go,i think they are quite famous now, relatively atleast,if not in the absolute sense.
coming to the media..i definitely believe they've done quite a good job,esp Times Now.They've all been more responsible this time. They have sensationalised it but i guess thats what they are paid for but i still believe this time round the media has been more responsible and have done a decent job.

nd lastly,i can view diff paragraphs..there could be some problem in the settings..will check it out!:)
